ABOUT ABOUT

This year’s Nebraska Conservation Summit will focus on bipartisan solutions to climate change.

The Summit will explore the political conversations happening across the country when it comes to action on climate change, and how we might solve this global challenge through bipartisanship. Congressman Bob Inglis and Congressman Don Bacon will be our featured presenters.  The format of this event will be a discussion with the two Congressmen, moderated by NLCV.

Congressman Don Bacon, representing the 2nd Congressional District in Nebraska, is a member of the bi-partisan climate solutions caucus. The mission of the Climate Solutions Caucus is to educate members on economically-viable options to reduce climate risk and to explore bipartisan policy options that address the impacts, causes, and challenges of our changing climate. Rep. Bacon was elected to Congress in 2016, and is a retired United States Air Force Brigadier General.

Congressman Bob Inglis launched the Energy and Enterprise Initiative at George Mason University in July 2012 and serves as executive director, where he promotes free enterprise action on climate change. Inglis was elected to the U.S. Congress in 1992. He represented Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina, from 1993-1998. In 2004, he was re-elected to Congress and served until 2010.
